Thanks to everyone who left me a comment when I shamelessly begged for one! It's good to have a little validation every now and then. I tried to reciprocate, but if I somehow missed your blog, be sure to let me know!
I was reminded that I need to be better about commenting on other people's blogs, too. Sometimes I worry that if I comment too much I'll just come across as weird. But I never think someone's weird for commenting on my blog, so I guess I need to get over myself.
This is mostly for Pamela (see this post) but you can all enjoy it:
"In Portland, you can knit a cozy for a bicycle stand and call it charity." |
I want a nicer camera. I wish it was a need, but, sadly, it's not.
I also want a nicer cell phone. Fortunately, this is not far from becoming a need.
If everything goes according to plan, I'm going back to school in the fall. This both terrifies and delights me.
The frustrating thing about watching Lost years behind everyone else is that there's no one to discuss all the crazy stuff with as it's happening. Chris and I spend half an hour after each episode trying to digest it all. It's a good thing he won't let me watch it without him, because otherwise I'd never sleep.

Your turn!
LinkyTools has switched to a subscription-only service, so I will no longer be using it (what can I say - I'm cheap!) If you do a Random Thoughts post on your own blog, I still want to know about it, so leave a comment and I'll come read!
I actually did Random Thoughts today! Mostly to avoid grading papers and cleaning my house but that is hardly the point.
ReplyDeleteI'm excited about you going back to school. It sounds fun/hard/exciting/scary/thrilling!
Yay for going back to school! I love school, but I am done with it for a while, I think. Whatcha gonna do?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the picture of the bicycle stand cozy! It makes me feel all warm inside.
What are you going back to school for? Not to be read in the "Why in the world are you going back to SCHOOL?!" but in the "What are you going to learn? I'm excited for you!" kind of way.
ReplyDeleteOoh. Whatcha gonna study??
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna be a nurse! Can you believe it? Me niether. 10 years ago I would never, ever have imagined that I would say those words, but a few years ago I had a change of heart. Or enough kids to feel like I could handle anything. That's probably more accurate. Of course, I have to get through the pre-requisites before I can actually apply for nursing school, so it will be a while, but I'm excited.
ReplyDeleteI left a comment, but I don't think it posted due to a two year old on my lap messing with the computer. I think you would be a great nurse! My mom went back to school for that and it is such a nice career for a mom - lots of schedule options and lots of money! (Oh, and you get to care for sick people and do something nice :) ) I may go back to school this fall or next to finally work on a secondary teaching certification. A whole classroom of people forced to listen to me - my dream job!!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! You will be a really good nurse. After you get certified you need to move next door to me so I can use you ...I mean, so we can be neighbors!
ReplyDeleteDuh, I totally knew that! I am so excited for you! Expect a call from my mom to talk you out of it :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the bicycle stand cozy. Hilarious.
ReplyDeleteNursing, that's exciting, great! Congratulations!!
ReplyDeletePLEASE email me about Lost whenever you can, e.g. "I just watched the one where blah blah blah"--I want to watch the show for the first time again vicariously through you and Chris. How far are you right now? Do you do one-disc- or two-discs-at-a-time Netflix? Because, I bet 1 disc would be hard.
Congrats on your decision to go back to school! You're going to be one busy lady next fall; I'm always here if you need help with your girls!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Emily!
