The weather outside is appalling. Everything is dull and gray, which makes my mood dull and gray. So, in an attempt to spice up my day a litle bit, and because I have nothing better to blog about (which is not actually true, but it takes time to write a real blog post), I hereby present:
Let's settle this once and for all. Should toilet paper hang over the top of the roll, or down behind?
Discuss.
On top of the roll over the front. No exceptions.
ReplyDeleteHow can you argue with the convenience of over the top? You can't.
ReplyDeleteOver the top. So let it be done. So let it be written.
ReplyDeleteOver the top...just like Sly Stallone.
ReplyDeleteOver the top is easier, therefore that's what I do (as should all rational and sane people).
ReplyDeleteHowever, if I had kids who were at that particular age where they like to smack the roll and make it spin, I think I would seriously consider down behind. But then I would be both irrational AND insane.
Wait...
I don't know anyone who does the under way..or maybe I do and they are just hiding it from me. As well they should, because that's a friendship breaker right there!
ReplyDeleteOver the top (B).
ReplyDeleteI think people who put it under (A) have just never stopped to consider whether or not they actually have a personal preference on this, because anyone who thinks about it ought to inevitably conclude that over the top is better.
Loved the Stallone reference! HA!
Over!
ReplyDeleteWow. All you people are wrong! Wrong, wrong, wrong! It goes UNDER because 1) it's more visually pleasing, 2) the kids can't unroll it as easily, and 3) it just makes more sense.
ReplyDeleteSo there! (and if this makes me both irrational and insane, so be it.)
Sorry Alli it looks like you are out voted. To be perfectly honest I don't really pay much attention to which side the TP is on. Although over the top is 1 - more visually pleasing because it covers the rest of the roll 2 - it is easier to grab.
ReplyDeleteSorry.
top.
ReplyDeleteI can show European paper dispensers that the paper is torn from the top and confirm that top is correct. And we all know that Europe invented toilet paper...
Over the top, no question. It's way more user friendly and definitely looks more pleasing.
ReplyDeleteSo I'm definitely not the first to say this, but I feel so strongly about it that I must comment. I'm not too picky about many things, but how my toilet paper is hung is one of them. I'm so picky in fact that Jeremy and I discussed this issue when we were engaged. I was extremely relieved to learn that he was an over the top guy. We are both VERY adamant that the only correct way to hang toilet paper is over the top.
ReplyDeleteHotels do it over the top AND they put that little folded pointed edge on it...just for fanciness. I think I should start doing that too.
ReplyDelete...so I can be fancy.
If professionals do it over the top, then that MUST be the proper way.
Sorry, Allie.
But, but, but...
ReplyDeleteNo matter what you people say, I will keep hanging my TP down the back. Hotels, schmotels.
Watch out. I may start a TP sabotage brigade. Ooooh, fun.
Oh Allie....I am sorry that you are so completely, outvoted. Just remember you asked...
ReplyDeleteOver the top hands down!!! It's way easier to get when it's the middle of the night potty run and you don't want to turn the light on. And it looks like I'm on the winning team.
