This morning I've been working around the house with my headphones on, listening to podcasts, and I keep thinking I hear Ellie talking to me. It's really disconcerting.
In a fit of Facebook-induced frustration (if you're on Facebook, you know exactly what I'm talking about), I joined Google+ yesterday. I have 14 friends, the majority of whom I'm related to. I don't know whether I'll actually do anything with it, but if you're on Google+ (and you're not creepy), find me!
One day, very soon, we will finish watching LOST, and we won't have anything to obsess over. Sad.
Ellie is still frustrated that they're not learning anything at school. I guess she was expecting to sit down and have lectures about how to add and subtract. Or, who knows, quantum physics. Anything but "choice time" and "writer's workshop". Apparently those things aren't learning. Don't get me wrong, she absolutely loves school, but there's always the caveat "...even though we didn't learn anything. Again."
I forged Chris's signature (it's not really forgery if he gives his permission, right?) on some paperwork I had to turn in, and I mentioned it in front of the kids, and then Vicki spent the evening trying to forge mine.
I think the A/C in my car might actually have gotten fixed for real this time. And I probably just jinxed it by announcing that on the internet. Dang.
