Well, hello there! Welcome to this craziness I call life. My name is Allison, but I also go by Mom, Mommy, Mama, Allie, Hon, and Hey You. You can call me Al, but only if I can call you Betty.
This blog is about my life as a mom of three girls. That's really all you need to know.
But brevity isn't my strong point, so why stop there? I'm a stay-at-home mom in Portland, OR who does an awful lot of not staying at home. I'm a Girl Scout leader with two troops underway, and a third on the horizon. I babysit four days a week to bring in enough extra cash to cover the piano, dance, gymnastics, and swimming that keep my girls out of trouble and keep me in the car. The girls are Vicki, Lexi, and Ellie. Youll learn more about them here than you ever wanted to know. The guy who keeps us all in line is Chris. He's an architect with a penchant for bicycling who occasionally guest stars on the blog. We're members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also known as Mormons. We're also pretty liberal, which makes for an interesting combination. Interventions are probably being planned for us all over the place now.
You'll usually find me fixing lunches, giving hugs, brushing hair, doing laundry, sweeping the floors (again!), doing more laundry, or running my exclusive taxi service, but when I'm not doing those things, I like to read good books, play with my camera, and write (hence the blog!)
I hope you enjoy this peek into the life I love.
