Weather.com says it's only 95 degrees outside right now, but we came home from the grocery store an hour ago and I swear it's already over 100. Humidity, ugh. But in our house...ahhhhhhh. A balmy 79 degrees. How did we ever survive three summers without one of these babies?

Ugly brown box of pure refreshment
Our home teacher (for anyone reading this who's unfamiliar with Mormon terminology, he's a guy from church who visits us on a monthly basis and shares an uplifting, gospel-related message as well as making sure everything is okay with us) brought us a present yesterday. Nothing new or fancy, just something he's had sitting in his garage for several years now. It's brown and ugly and we worship it like a gift from God. Which it is.

Man we don't even get visits from our home teacher, much less a box to kneel before and worship daily! I have always said that air conditioning is the mark of civilization!
ReplyDeleteI still don't know how people survive with just a swamp cooler here. I'll take the dry air over humidity anyday! (Having lived with that for 18 years of my life!)
ReplyDeleteAir conditioning is wonderful. I could not survive in North Carolina without it.
ReplyDelete95 degrees? Pshaw!! That's not hot!! Come down here for a visit. I'll show you freakin' hot. (And don't start in on the "Oh, but it's a dry heat business. I lived in the deep south, so I know all about humidity. When it's hot, it's hot. Doesn't matter if it's a dry heat or not!!).
ReplyDeleteK, Done ranting now. :) Congrats on the nice, cool air inside the house! Makes a world of difference, huh? What a great home teacher you have! Woot!
Hooray for pure refreshment! I remember those days in Oregon. Luckily they don't last too long!
