Yesterday while I was on the phone with a friend, Ellie suddenly made a slight gagging noise, coughed once, and then looked up at me with a truly shocked expression and said, "Mommy, my penny went down to my mouth!"
So now I'm like the audience at a magic show, waiting in awed anticipation for the magician to make the penny reappear.
Allison,
ReplyDeleteI love how you narrate your experiences. Have you ever thought about writing?
I agree with danielle. Your blog is my favorite to read because of how you write. I think you should seriously consider it...
ReplyDeleteI third that motion. I have wanted to tell you for a while now how much I enjoy reading your blog. You are a very good writer! I guess Last Period Remedial English with Mr. Daniels really payed off!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are too nice! I don't know what to say. I really enjoy writing, but sometimes I think I get a little bit too into it. Maybe that means I should do it more...??? What would I write, though? Harry Potter has already been done, what else is there? I thought for a while about doing a more public blog, but there are already so many "mommy bloggers" out there, I don't know whether the world needs any more, and I don't know what else I'd write about.
ReplyDeleteMela, if I ever wrote an actual book, I'd have to give all the credit to Last Period Remedial English, no doubt. Where would we be today without that class?
"You fry 'em!"
Did she pass it yet?
ReplyDeleteI assume. The opportunity to find out presented itself at church on Sunday, and, not having any medical-grade gloves on hand, I chose to live in ignorant bliss on the matter. And although there have been opportunities since then, we decided to just let it be. If it's still in there, well, it's probably not doing her any harm, and if it's not, we're one penny poorer than we were and not too upset about it!
ReplyDeleteIf it's still there, maybe it'll compoundinterest itself into a quarter or something.
